Last Updated: September 24th, 2025

For customers in the United States, this is a “limited warranty” as defined under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Summary (TL;DR)

  • 2-year warranty covers electronic failures only.
  • DOA items must be reported within 30 days.
  • Batteries are covered for functional failure for 12 months.
  • 3D-printed modules, cosmetic issues, and consumables are not covered.
  • Accidental damage, misuse, and unauthorized repairs are excluded.

2-Year Warranty for SOLDR Products

This warranty covers electronic defects and failures that occur under normal use for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase (EU statutory rights count from delivery). This warranty applies only to the original purchaser with valid proof of purchase.

What's Covered

  • Electronic Failures: Defects in electronic components such as:

    • Soldering pen electronics
    • Multimeter electronics
    • Fan/light module electronics
    • Control PCBs, wiring, and supplied circuit components
  • Defective Batteries: The fan module’s battery is covered for loss of functionality for 12 months (capacity reduction over time is not covered).
  • Manufacturing Defects on Delivery (DOA): Items that arrive damaged, defective, or non-functional when reported within 30 days of delivery.

What's Not Covered

  • 3D-Printed or Plastic Modules: Holders, brackets, compartments, organizers, and other non-electronic parts are not covered unless they arrive damaged on delivery.
  • Normal Wear & Tear: Scratches, marks, discoloration, mechanical wear, or age-related surface changes.
  • Consumables: Soldering tips, filters, solder, flux, cleaning materials, adhesives, batteries outside the electronics section, etc.
  • Shipping Damage: Must be reported within 7 days so that a courier claim can be filed. We will assist with the resolution.
  • Accidental Damage or Misuse: Damage caused by drops, over-tightening, excessive force, incorrect use, liquid exposure, overheating, or using incompatible power sources.
  • Modifications & Third-Party Repairs: Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications voids the warranty. Customer-performed adjustments following official SOLDR guides are allowed.
  • Firmware/Software Issues: Software bugs or updates are not warranty failures, but we will provide patches or instructions when needed.
  • Loss, Theft, or Incorrect Delivery: We are not responsible for packages that are stolen after confirmed delivery.

Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty may be void if the product has:

  • Been opened beyond user-serviceable components
  • Been modified with third-party electronic parts
  • Been operated with the wrong voltage, charger, or incompatible accessories
  • Visible signs of liquid damage or corrosion
  • Been altered in a way that prevents diagnosis of the original issue
