This page explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you for advertising purposes.

  • cookieConsent — remembers your cookie consent choice so we don't ask again.
  • ab-variant — stores which A/B test variant you have been assigned (value: a or b). This ensures a consistent experience across page loads. It does not contain any personal information and expires after 30 days.

Always-on analytics (no consent required)

We use PostHog in a privacy-preserving cookieless mode to understand how visitors interact with the site. In this mode:

  • No cookies are set on your device.
  • No persistent identifier is stored in your browser.
  • Your IP address and user agent are used to generate a one-way hash on PostHog's servers for same-day visitor deduplication. The daily salt used for this hash is deleted after processing, making the hash irreversible and not personal data.
  • We record anonymised events such as page views and button clicks.

Because no personal data is stored persistently, this tracking does not require your consent under GDPR. However, we disclose it here in the interest of transparency.

We also use Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregated, privacy-preserving page-view statistics. Vercel does not set cookies and does not store individual IP addresses.

Marketing & advertising cookies (consent required)

If you click Accept all in the cookie banner, we activate the following additional tracking tools:

  • PostHog — full mode: Enables session recording and assigns a persistent user identifier stored in a cookie and browser localStorage. This allows us to analyse user journeys and run A/B tests with persistent assignment.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): Tracks visits and purchase events to measure the effectiveness of our Meta advertising campaigns and to enable audience targeting. Meta may use this data under their own privacy policy.
  • Reddit Pixel: Tracks visits and conversion events to measure the effectiveness of our Reddit advertising campaigns. Reddit may use this data under their own privacy policy.
  • Affiliate & campaign cookies: If you arrive via an affiliate link or email campaign, a cookie is set to attribute any resulting purchase (affiliate cookies last 10 days; email campaign cookies last 30 days).

You can withdraw consent at any time — your data will no longer be collected going forward, though data already collected cannot be retroactively deleted from third-party platforms.

Visitors outside the EU, UK, Canada and Brazil

If you are visiting from the United States or another region where a consent banner is not legally required, marketing and analytics cookies are enabled by default. However, you can still opt out at any time using the button below.

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, including data collected via advertising cookies such as Meta Pixel and Reddit Pixel.
